Herbert Dan Adams, 1914-2002, MD, 1929, Harvard Medical School, was chief of surgery at the Lahey Clinic in Burlington, Mass., New England Deaconess Hospital, and New England Baptist Hospital in Boston, Mass. He served as a director of the Lahey Clinic from 1962 to 1969 and authored a history of the development of the institution, "The Knife That Saves," in 1991.
